The App Store treats the sharing of subscriptions (our Monthly and Annual Memberships) and one-time purchases (our Lifetime Membership) differently. It's why Portal Lifetime Memberships don't appear in 'Subscriptions' in your Apple Account. To share your Lifetime Membership, the first thing to do is double-check whether Purchase Sharing is turned on. To do so:
- Open the 'Settings' app on your device then tap on your 'profile icon/photo' at the top of your screen.
- Tap 'Family'.
- Tap 'Purchase Sharing'.
- Tap your name, and then turn on 'Share My Purchases' and follow the instructions.
Once turned on, members of your Family Sharing group will need to follow these steps:
- Delete Portal from their device, if they'd already had it installed.
- Open the App Store and tap their 'profile icon/photo', which should be in the top-right corner.
- Tap 'Purchased' or 'Apps', then they need to select the name of the family member who made the Lifetime Membership purchase, i.e. you.
- They then need to find and download Portal from the shared list (not from a normal search in the App Store).
- Open the newly downloaded Portal app and when they tap on 'Try Portal Premium' or any locked 'star' Premium portals. They will then be presented with different Premium Membership options, they then need to tap 'More Options' > 'Restore Purchase' located at the bottom of the screen.
